Harlow College students can now benefit from a new multi-faith and quiet room which opened at the Velizy Avenue campus on Friday.
The room is available for use by both staff and students, whether for religious prayer or just a quiet space for contemplation.
College principal Colin Hindmarch said: "We have around 8,000 different students, primarily focussed on being successful in their studies, but that's only a part of their time at college. Their moral, social and spiritual development is extremely important as well.
