On April 20, 2004 US Newswire reported, "The largest and most diverse religious contingent ever assembled for a pro-choice march will gather under the banner of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice Sunday, April 25, at the March for Women's Lives. People of faith are responding in unprecedented numbers to the call of the March for justice and equality, said RCRC President Rev. Carlton W. Veazey, a Baptist pastor. These are basic values that are shared by Christians, Jews, Unitarian Universalists, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and many other faiths, he said... Beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, more than 70 religious and religiously affiliated organizations and congregations will come together in Washington at the Capitol Reflecting Pool area, between 1st and 3rd streets NW, and Maryland and Pennsylvania avenues, NW. The RCRC Prayerfully Pro-Choice Interfaith Worship Service will start at 9:30 a.m. with songs, prayers, and meditations from more than a dozen traditions. Participants include Rabbi Sally Priesand, the first woman rabbi; Rev. William G. Sinkford, president of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations; Ms. Genie Bank, President of the 1-million member Women's Division of the United Methodist Church; Rev.
