Description

The Temple of Brigantia is a Wiccan coven in Wells, Maine. Drawing on the Celto-Roman period as the foundation of their group, they offer Full Moon rituals as well as apprenticeships in Classical-Celtic tradition. For more information on this era and the deities revered, please see Classical-Celtic Wicca.
The coven’s “practice grows out of years of Wiccan training and teaching, and strives for a balance between masculine and feminine energies, with an emphasis on earning respect through positive and ethical words and actions. [They] are committed to seeking accurate information on the practices of ancient religions while adapting them to the needs of the modern world.” (1)
Temple of Brigantia’s “open Full Moon rituals alternate between a ‘Goddess’ ritual, honoring the Triple Mothers, and a ‘God’ ritual honoring Jupiter Cernunnos." (2)
People interested in training are invited to attend the group’s open rituals. Additionally, the coven provides apprenticeships to those who are willing to make a serious and long-term commitment.
