Join us for the first annual Cambridge Mormon/Muslim Iftar! Learn about the traditions of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ("Mormon") and Muslim faiths over a joint breaking of the fast potluck dinner with friends old and new. Speakers from both groups will discuss the nature and significance of fasting in each respective religion while we come to appreciate just how much we have in common.
Cambridge Community Ramadan Iftar open to everyone, featuring local politicians and community members including Cambridge vice mayor Marc McGovern and Cambridge City Councillor Nadeem Mazen. This event presents an opportunity for community members to get to know one another and their local representatives.
The Common Street Spiritual Center will be sponsoring its fourth Abrahamic Trialogue followed by an interfaith Iftar meal. This event will be during the month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast during the daylight hours, and the Iftar is the fast-breaking meal that begins when the sun goes down.
