History:

The Richmond Dzogchen Group began holding public meetings in 2004. It includes some members of a previous Bon group that practiced in Richmond several years ago, as well as newcomers. Bon is not always included under the label of Buddhism. It is usually perceived as a mixture of early Tibetan shamanistic elements and late Indian Buddhism. The members of the Richmond Dzogchen Group understand themselves to be Buddhists, practicing a form of Buddhism, thus the group is listed as Buddhist.

Activities and Schedule:

As of August 2008, meetings are held on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m; please call to confirm the meeting schedule. They perform the Six Sessions Practice. Newcomers should call ahead before attending for the first time. Participants are encouraged to bring their own cushions.
