Dr. Timothy Cahill
Dr. Timothy Cahill is associate professor of Asian religions at Loyola University New Orleans. From 1998-2006, he led a project to map the religious diversity in New Orleans, with special progress over the summer of 2003. With the help of undergraduate students, the goal was to map the presence of Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and other less commonly recognized communities in the greater New Orleans area. This representation also documented shared use of individual sites. Towards this end, the projected catalogue information useful for learning something of what each community is all about—including their interrelations.
