Ethnic Tibetan Buddhists and Indian Shi'ite Muslims in the Twin Cities, Minnesota

Michel Boudreaux examined two specific immigrant communities in the Twin Cities through research at their central religious centers. He documented the religious activities and history of the Tibetan Buddhists community of the Gyuto Wheel of Dharma Monastery. Boudreaux's second community of study was the Indian Shi'ite Muslim community consisting of immigrants from both Tanzania and Uganda. His work included documentation of the Aujuman-e-Asghari and the Ja'fari Islamic Center. Michel's research explored how these two groups preserve their religious traditions and their community identity in their new American context.
