On January 15, 2004 Redland Daily Facts reported that "a local observance of World Religion Day is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 18. The program will include representatives from major world religions, including Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam and the Baha'i faith. 'The aim of World Religion Day is to foster the establishment of interfaith understanding and harmony by emphasizing the common denominators underlying all religions and to foster appreciation of the various distinctions in each religion,' according to information provided by Redlands Area Interfaith Council and the Redlands Baha'i Community, co-sponsors of the event."
