Workplace Discrimination Against Muslims Increased

On March 22, 2002, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that "complaints of workplace discrimination against Muslims nearly tripled in the six months after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the head of the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said... Since the attacks, the EEOC has received 366 discrimination complaints by Muslims for harassment and wrongful terminations, compared with 124 in the same six-month period a year earlier."
