On June 25, 2005 the Star-Telegram reported, "For five years, [Monica "Posy"] McMillen has been leading tours such as this one [to Israel] in which 26 travelers, Christians and Jews primarily from the Fort Worth area, explored both the differences and commonalities of their faiths...The Christian woman has long had a close link to the Jewish community. She was the chairwoman of the Holocaust exhibit 'Anne Frank and the World: 1929-1945,' which came to Fort Worth in 1995 and 2002. She has served on committees of the Dallas Holocaust Museum and has twice been an officer in Hadassah, the worldwide Jewish benevolent organization. But she is perhaps best known for her courses at McKinney Memorial, attended by both Jews and Christians, [on subjects like Christian anti-Semitism, Jewish practice and holidays, and common Judeo-Christian history]. McMillen has even taught courses to Jewish confirmation classes at Fort Worth's Congregation Beth-El, a Reform Jewish synagogue. The location of the two houses of worship works to her advantage. Beth-El and McKinney Memorial share a parking lot; the church also is less than a block from Congregation Ahavath Sholom."
