Sometimes it takes faith to build a home.

A new house project for Winchester-Frederick County Habitat for Humanity draws together representatives of numerous faiths in the area.

Organizers of Habitat for Humanity's first-ever Interfaith Build in Frederick County plan to hold a ground blessing ceremony at 5259 Crooked Lane, Stephens City, at 4 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited.

Representatives of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Baha'i and Unitarian faith groups will conduct the ground blessing, to include brief rituals, traditional attire, music and language interpretations, according to a press release from the Habitat chapter. Food samples from various represented cultures will be available.
