On October 26, 2005 the Arkansas Traveler reported, "More than 200 people marched through the heart of downtown Fayetteville on Sunday as part of an effort to make the northwest Arkansas community more tolerant of its cultural diversity. 'Walk as One,' an all-day gathering forged from a multitude of ages and ethnicities, featured a morning rally on the square and a march to the UA campus by way of Dickson Street. After reaching the Fullbright Peace Fountain, a multi-religious ceremony was performed that featured Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish and Zoroastrian prayers... This was the third annual march that the NCCJ [National Conference for Community and Justice, an organization 'dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry and racism in America'] has led in northwest Arkansas, but the first to take place in Fayetteville."
