On September 29, 2005 the Contra Costa Times reported, "Rabbi Dan Goldblatt has his views on cooperation between the religious faiths, how it has often traditionally worked in the past, and how he thinks it's happening in the Tri-Valley now. Goldblatt, of Beth Chaim Congregation in Danville, said a 'Holy Convergence' event planned for Sunday will be more than members of various churches and other faith groups getting together, 'tolerating' each others' services and congratulating each other for their diversity and cooperation... The first 'Holy Convergence/Interfaith Festival' was conceived to point out, and celebrate, the common work that the widely varied faiths in the area perform, both individually and in cooperation with one another... Expected to take part in Sunday's festival are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Baha'i and Buddhist groups, and perhaps others, all bringing their own food, music and message of how the world's people -- and religious faiths -- should cooperate with one another. A central theme among the festival's organizers is that followers of these widely differing faiths should pay more attention to their similarities than to their differences."
