U.S. Postal Service to Issue Stamps Commemorating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and the Muslim Eid

On October 10, 2002 NBC4 reported that "a new stamp commemorating two important Muslim holidays will be available beginning Thursday at Washington, D.C. post offices. Startng Friday, it becomes available across the country, according to the U.S. Postal Service. A 34-cent Eid stamp was first issued on Sept. 1, 2001, at the annual Islamic Society of North America's convention in Des Plaines, Ill. The new version comes at the current 37-cent first-class rate."
