On May 26, 2003 the Milford Daily News reported that "about 600 people who gathered in the Millis High School [MA] auditorium yesterday to mark Memorial Day were asked to imagine they were on the parade route... The traditional ceremony began with a prayer offered by Kathy May of St. Paul's Church followed by the placing of the wreath by John Sheehan of American Legion Post 208 and the reading of the necrology by Edwin Waite of the American Legion Post 208. This year the names of 13 veterans who passed away since the last Memorial Day service were read followed by taps played by buglers Kelsey Brennan and Sara Miller... S.S. Ekongkar Khalsa, of the Sikh Dharma, offered a prayer followed by the laying of the wreath in honor of Korean and Vietnam veterans and the playing of taps."
