On March 30, 2003 The Associated Press reported that "the family of an Indian man who was slain in an apparent fit of anti-Muslim rage is working with immigration officials so his widow can attend the capital murder trial of the accused killer... Mesa resident Frank Roque's trial isn't scheduled until June 24th, but there is a chance Harjinder Kaur, the widow of Balbir Singh Sodhi, still might not be able to attend because her visa expired last month."
