Triad Wiccans Gather to Meditate

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The audience members closed their eyes and slowly clenched and relaxed each part of their bodies, from toes to cheeks and mouth.

They slumped in their seats.

Under the dim lights of the Broach Theatre, a small crowd of people meditated, seeing themselves in a different landscape of rivers, waterfalls and doors leading to secret rooms. Aside from their narrator's voice, the only sounds were air blowing somewhere behind the stage and an occasional cough.

This wasn't just any lesson.

Local members of the Wiccan faith, a religion rooted in nature, took notes from Gavin and Yvonne Frost, the controversial founders of this country's first Wiccan church and leaders in the effort to dispel myths about their spirituality.
