Tibetan Master to Oversee New Buddhist Center in Orange County

On October 3, 2003 The Orange County Register reported that the first Tibetan Buddhist Center in Orange County will open this Sunday. The center will be overseen by high lama Khen Rinpoche Lobsang Jamyang, among the most senior Tibetan masters alive, and will feature a prayer room, a library and an exhibition room of ancient Tibetan artifacts. About 400 people are expected on Sunday, when Rinpoche's prayers will be translated from Tibetan into English and Vietnamese.
