On July 10, 2004 swissinfo reported, "Leading Swiss theologian Hans Küng has called for a return to religious values to ensure peace in the world. In an interview with swissinfo, Küng said humanity’s survival depended on the existence of a worldwide ethic and dialogue between religions. The 75-year-old theologian is to receive an award for his work in fostering interfaith dialogue at the Parliament of the World’s Religions, which runs until July 13 in Barcelona.
