On November 22, 2004 The Morning Call reported, "the theme for an ecumenical Thanksgiving service in Allentown on Sunday was 'United in Gratitude.' The Rev. Tom Cormier, an interfaith minister, expanded on the theme when he began the service... The third annual Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Prayer Service was held by Interfaith Alliance of the Lehigh Valley at St. John's Lutheran Church... During the two-hour service, representatives of Christianity, Hinduism, Jainism, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism and other faiths gave their own takes on Thanksgiving."
