On April 5, 2005 BBC News reported, "Buddhists in Swansea can go ahead with plans to relocate their meditation centre despite objectors claiming noisy chanting would keep them up at night. The Buddhists will now move and convert a hotel into their new base. Some residents near the Windsor Lodge Hotel at Mount Pleasant had claimed 'loud prolonged late night chanting' might disturb them. But the Buddhists' current neighbours said objectors had nothing to fear and the application was approved."
