On November 26, 2004 icBerkshire reported, "A community Leader slammed the Government for doing 'next to nothing' to protect the Sikh population from '9/11 racism.' Ragstone Road resident, Jagdeesh Singh, of the Sikh Community Action Network, told a Home Affairs Select Committee on Tuesday November 16, that September 11 had become a trigger for a small minority to justify racism and randomly attack ethnic minorities. Mr Singh demanded a face-to-face meeting with Home Secretary, David Blunkett. As reported in the Express in September, Mr Singh was himself the victim of a brutal attack at the hands of hate-filled racists in Coventry at the same time hostage Ken Bigley was being held in Iraq by kidnappers."
