THE Penang state-level Vasakhi or Sikh New Year open house was held in swirls of colours to the beat of dhol (wooden barrel shape drum) at the New World Park on Burma Road on Saturday.
Hundreds of people turned up to join in the dancing and watch the colourful performances at the event which was held for the sixth consecutive year by the Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia (Penang Branch) and the Penang Tourism Action Council.
