On September 5, 2002 Times-Herald Online reported that "because of a need to educate, Gurpreet Dhugga and other Sikhs are hosting "A Cultural Evening" Saturday at the Fairfield Center for the Creative Arts [in California,] that's 'dedicated to the victims and heroes of Sept. 11. Sikh is the fifth largest religion in the world, 'but, still, a lot of people don't know about us,' Dhugga said, believing that 'as a community, we are not that outgoing and don't share things with others.'"
