On December 29, 2004 Modesto Bee reported, "nearly 100 people from kindergarten to college age turned out Tuesday for the first day of Sikh Camp at the Sikh Temple on Fifth Street in Turlock. The camp, offering information on the Sikh religion and history, is scheduled to conclude today, after running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The camp is free and open to the public, regardless of age, race or faith."
