Nearly 100 volunteers from various Gurdwaras in Southern California: Buena Park, Vermont, Valley Sikh Temple and Khalsa Care Foundation volunteered their services at the annual 25th Honda LA Marathon, held on March 21.

Different Sikh groups have been volunteering for the L. A. Marathon for the past 9 years. L.A. Marathon coordinator Prem Singh said this year three stations were allotted to the group. In addition to water, fruits, hard candy and salty pretzels were distributed to the runners. All the items other than water were optional and the voluntary groups raised funds and distributed to the participants.
