Sikh Exhibition Opens at Bedford Museum

On October 24, 2005 SikhNet reported, "Bursts of loud drumming welcomed honoured guests to the opening by the mayor of the Bedford, Sikh Awareness Exhibition at Bedford Museum, Castle Lane, on Saturday. This colourful and informative exhibition - the first for Bedford - has been put together by members of the Sikh Gurdwaras (temples) in Bedford. A variety of artefacts, including elaborate wedding costume, musical instruments, and illustrations, some of which have been loaned by the Guru Nanak Sikh Museum, Leicester, artist and chair person of the museum Sarup Singh attended. Fine Artist, Gagandeep Singh, work also create a vibrant picture of Sikh history, culture and faith."
