On September 18, 2004 the Associated Press provided a report on the 9-11 memorials held nationwide. A highlight from this report includes an interfaith memorial held in Atlanta, GA. It was reported that, "speakers at an interfaith service that included readings from the Bible and the Koran urged people to focus on what they have in common instead of differences... The service was held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, where slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. once preached, and featured speakers from religions including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hindu and Sikh. The Rev. Joanna Adams of Morningside Presbyterian Church in Atlanta said military action and increases to homeland security are not enough. People also have a 'moral obligation' to try to better understand each other, she said."
