When visiting a Church of England School the last thing I expected to see was a Hindu Shrine, set up next to a line of Islam prayer mats and facing the Sikh book of worship.

At Bluecoat School, though, the multi-faith room, which was built to face Mecca, is just one part of a much bigger programme that teaches its students respect, tolerance and harmony.
