On November 26, 2003 Pakistan Link reported, "On one day of Ramadan every year, Muslims at SALAM (Sacramento Area League of Associated Muslims) who are blessed with a degree of affluence, invite several members of the Sacramento Interfaith community to share with them what Islam is all about. This year it was five Arab-Americans who funded this effort, helped by Afghan, Arab, Indian, Asian and Pakistani-Americans, as Buddhists, Christians, Jews and others were the invited guests of our community. The aim here was to share what the Islamic faith is all about with the guests and to thank many of them for the support that they have provided to our community after Sept. 11, 2001... As the feast of Eid ul Fitr or the end of Ramadan arrives on November 25th or 26th and almost joins up with America's Thanksgiving holiday on November 27th this year, we all have a great deal to be thankful for. May Allah/God bless Islam and America. And let us not forget to share our faith with our neighbors all over this great land."
