A park burst into colour as Hindus celebrated the festival of Holi.
Around 300 people were at Platt Fields Park in Fallowfield to celebrate spring with an old tradition – throwing coloured powder and water at each other.
The annual festival is a popular date in the Hindu calendar as it gives worshippers the chance to give thanks for creation, renewal and new life.
This year’s big celebration was jointly organised by the Manchester Indian Association and Friends of Platt Fields Park and is one of many events marking the park’s centenary.
