On January 2, 2004 The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported, "Another religious display has been set up in the Barrow County Courthouse. The latest display includes alternate versions of the Ten Commandments, Hindu stories, Buddhist teachings, excerpts from the Quran and writings defining agnosticism. It has been placed across a breezeway from a Ten Commandments plaque that has drawn a lawsuit from civil libertarians. The new display was placed Wednesday by Scott Harris, a 31-year-old Barrow County native and doctoral student in geology at Brown University."
