On May 4, 2004 The North County Times reported, " A center that supporters say is intended as a place for meditation and reflection has neighbors feeling anything but peaceful. Those neighbors say they plan to turn out in force Tuesday when the Bonsall Community Sponsor Group considers plans for the Dai Dang Meditation Center at 6326 Camino del Rey. The Bonsall Sponsor Group is an advisory board which makes recommendations to county land-use planners. Group Chairwoman Margarette Morgan said a vote on the project could come Tuesday. The county will ultimately rule on the matter, although its decision can be appealed in court. Some who live near the proposed center, that they call a Buddhist temple, say they believe it will create noise, traffic and disturb the peace and quiet that attracted them to Bonsall."
