On July 7, 2004 PA News reported, "The Prince of Wales today opened a multi-faith garden in a primary school. Charles was visiting Deansfield Primary School in Eltham, south– east London, and was greeted with applause by waiting schoolchildren when he arrived this morning...The cloister garden at the school was designed and built by an alumni of the Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment with the help of pupils at the school. The garden’s design represents the faiths of Christianity, Islam and Buddhism and is intended to provide children with a quiet space within the playground. The Prince was treated to some songs from the school’s choir. He then met and spoke to a number of pupils before addressing the school to unveil plaques marking the occasion."
