On June 30, 2003 The Herald-Sun reported that "the Century Center is hosting a panel discussion tonight on how young people from minority religions living in the United States can remain true to their faith in a time of war abroad and distrust at home... Tonight's dialogue, 'Keeping the Faith: Expatriate Communities,' will bring together six college and high school students, an audience from the community and a delegation of eight people from North Africa and the Middle East... They'll engage in a moderated discussion on what life is like in the Triangle for religious minorities, especially in the light of the 9/11 attacks and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq... The organizers -- the International Visitors Council/ World Affairs Council and the Interfaith Alliance of Wake County -- are hoping people of faith and the curious will come and contribute to the discussion."
