On June 13, 2005 The Saginaw News reported, "An informational meeting took place Sunday in the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Midland, 6220 S. Jefferson, where... area residents gathered to discuss the [direction of their newly formed pagan group]. The group decided to host its first meeting on one of the more important dates on the pagan calendar -- the summer solstice, Tuesday, June 21. The gathering will take place at 9 p.m. at the Chippewa Nature Center, 400 S. Badour in Midland. Attendees will celebrate the solstice, talk about the religion and plan the group's future. McRoberts said he hopes for a larger turnout at the session. 'There's definitely a need for it,' the Midland resident said. '(Area pagans) keep to themselves so we want to give them somewhere to go.'"
