On April 4, 2005 The Vanderbilt Hustler reported, "The Vanderbilt Pagan Society, which officially began this semester, is providing the opportunity for those who practice Paganism to do so in a group setting and is allowing people who are interested to learn more about Paganism. Senior Arthur Moore started meeting with three individuals who also were interested in the practice of Paganism his second year at Vanderbilt. The next year, 13 people began meeting, and interest in participating in the group began spreading. Currently, VPS has 30 members, with membership expected to grow."
