Pagan Explains Beltane Holiday

Spring is a busy time in terms of holidays in the world's religions.

Jews observe Passover. Christians celebrate Easter.

And it's also the time for Beltane, one of the four main holidays in the pagan religion, said Zee Ziemba, a Jacksonville resident and president of Pagan Pride Alliance, Inc., which covers Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

The holiday is observed sometime between May 1 and Wednesday - depending on how strictly a pagan follows tradition, Ziemba said.

Ziemba took a few minutes recently to explain the holiday. Here's some of what she had to say.
