On July 7, 2005 Muslim Wake Up! ran an opinion piece by Ahmed Nassef, editor-in-chief of MuslimWakeUp.com, on the terrorist attacks in London. Nassef writes, "When British Prime Minister Tony Blair first reacted to today’s tragedy in London, he did not put the blame on Al Qaeda--not enough evidence yet... However, he was certain that Muslims were behind the attacks... [T]he sad reality is that we no longer need hard and fast evidence... The important thing is that Muslims are most likely to have done it. We all know it. The world knows it... So bring on the condemnations! We have to do it, just so they don’t say later that we were silent." Nassef goes on to describe other acts of terror committed by Muslim groups, particularly the assasination of Egypt's ambassador to Iraq. He writes, "Being allied to Jews and Christians is now a crime of apostasy to these guardians of the faith, who might have also declared the Prophet Muhammad an apostate for having sought the protection of a Christian king and for having signed an agreement with Jews.

But then the Prophet was not as pure as these people.

They kill. We condemn.

May God forgive us for what we have done to our religion of mercy and compassion."
