On December 13, 2003 the Knoxville News-Sentinel reported that "the Knoxville office of the National Conference for Community and Justice and the East Tennessee Interfaith Alliance sponsored the interfaith dialogue, 'One Season, Many Holidays; One Nation, Many Faiths,' Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Magnolia Avenue campus of Pellissippi State Technical Community College. The forum featured four panelists and NCCJ board member John Bluth Gill as moderator. Bluth Gill is pastor of Church of the Savior. The sentiment expressed among panelists and visitors was that maintaining communication across religious lines is essential to help minority groups feel as if they are regarded. On the heels of the Knox County Commission's recent consideration of a resolution acknowledging God as the foundation of the nation's heritage, attendees remarked that efforts such as that represent a non-inclusive worldview."
