On July 31, 2003 Jews Week reported that "Sister Rose Thering... has made a career of bringing Catholics and Jews together and helping improve religious tolerance. Now she is the subject of a short documentary, The Bridge of Rose's, being produced by an Academy Award-nominated team of filmmakers... Steve Kalafer, who is co-producing the documentary with Peter LeDonne, said Thering has been a true leader in the fight to bridge the gap in relations between Catholics and Jews -- devoting most of her life to fighting the myths that separate the two faiths."
