On September 27, 2003 Courier News (NJ) reported that "an interfaith dialogue and anti-violence vigil will bring people of several faiths together at Raritan Valley Community College next week. The program...is the continuation of an effort that began several years ago to foster understanding and diversity in the community. The evening will include a 'Stop the Violence' candlelight vigil, musical performances by Olympia's Daughters and a Sikh children's group, presentations, group discussions and planning for future actions... The dialogue began in response to a rash of anti-Semitic graffiti in Bridgewater parks several years ago, said Maharjan, who also chairs the Somerset County Cultural Diversity Coalition...Leaders from the Bahai, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Unitarian-Universalist faiths will be present to speak on the night's theme, 'Building Community Together.'"
