The Nigeria Inter Religious Council (NIREC) has concluded plans to train 250 youths on how to overcome the issue of reli-gious crisis in Nigeria that has led to the loss of so many lives in Nigeria.

The national coordinator, Pro-fessor Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed this in Minna yesterday in an address he delivered at the first Nigerian youths summit on NI-REC youth leadership work-shop.

He said 50 youths would be selected from Niger State, ad-ding that 25 Christians and Muslim youths would make up the number and the remaining 200 would be split between the two religions on the basis of 100 youths each. Oloyede said the choice of Niger was as a result of the fall out of peaceful existen-ce among adherents of the two religions in Plateau State. He said Niger State was to be used as a model state in the region to show that other parts could be peaceful[.]
