JVB, a religious organization for followers of Jainism, will host events for the grand opening of their new 6,000-square-foot facility, the Preksha Meditation Center this weekend.

At 14102 Schiller, the facility cost $2 million, raised entirely from voluntary donations.

The facility's main room features a 3,600-square-foot cardinal-pyramid meditation hall, shaped to enhance the meditation experience.

Jainism, one of the world's oldest religions, was founded in India prior to the 9th century BCE. More than 5 million people in India follow the religion, with around a half million followers in other countries.
