Nazareth College was established almost a century ago to provide women access to higher education in a Catholic tradition.
But recent events show how the college has broadened its mission and emerged in the forefront of promoting religious diversity.
In April, the college hosted an Interfaith Understanding Conference, which drew more than 400 participants — many from outside the Rochester area — and attracted $160,000 in financial support from the local business community.
