On January 12, 2006 the Daily Monitor reported, "Muslim women in Seeta trading centre have formed an association to sensitise fellow Muslim women on sexually transmitted diseases and how to start income generating projects. The association called Seeta Womens' Development Association, was launched at Seeta Mosque on January 6. Speaking at the function, the association's Chairperson, Hajjati Nuulu Nabunya, said the organisation has come to liberate women who had been left behind in development. 'We want our association to focus on development. But we feel this is not possible without addressing the issue of HIV/Aids,' she said."
