On July 7, 2006 Life Style Extra reported, "The bereaved family of a Muslim 7/7 terror attack victim today condemned Tony Blair's decision not to hold a full public inquiry into the events surrounding the suicide bombings.

Shahara Islam, 20, was one of seven innocent people killed when bomber Shehzad Tanweer blew himself up on a Circle Line train at Aldgate tube station one year ago.

Today her uncle, Kamral Hasan, said the men responsible for her death were 'evil'.

Speaking at the East London Mosque in Whitechapel, east London, he said: "A year has passed since the tragic death of our beloved Shahara. The loss of one so young and dear to us has been unbearable'... He added: 'We were disappointed the Prime Minister ruled out a public inquiry into the terrorist attacks of July 7. 'Shahara was a victim of the attacks and we owe it to her and the rest of the victims to find out why this happened, how it happened, and what we as a country need to do to prevent this from ever happening again. We fully support other families of victims of July 7 in their call for a public inquiry and urge the Prime Minister to reconsider'... Speaking at the same event, Muslim leaders accused the Blair Government of being directly responsible for the 7/7 bombings.

They said Labour's foreign policy had provoked 'anger and outrage' among many young British Muslims.

They accused Blair of being 'insensitive and ignorant' for saying that terrorism needed to be tackled from within the Muslim community."
