On September 14, 2005 Zaman.com reported, "Intellectuals who met next to the Kaaba called for the establishment of the freedom of ideas in the Muslim world to achieve a peaceful future. In an organization for the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), more than 80 Muslim intellectuals gathered at the Royal Guest Palace and discussed the issue of education so that the Muslim World’s fundamental problems can be overcome. After three days of brain-storming, they agreed upon the view that a prosperous and peaceful future can be ensured by spending serious efforts in education and the establishment of freedom of ideas. Stressing that the dialogue among civilizations was indispensable, the intellectuals emphasized that the dialogue had to be an inclusive and all-embracing one."
