On February 26, 2004 the Muslim American Society reported that "'Stressing “Faith over Fear and Justice for All,' the Muslim American Society (MAS)’s Freedom Foundation provided a weekend of intense activist training for Muslims in Houston, Texas and Tampa, Florida.    The Activist Training Seminar is MAS Freedom’s signature program. The session is a series of daylong workshops conducted by experienced Foundation staff, held in cites around the country for Muslims and others interested in learning the skills necessary for effective activism.   The goal of the seminar is to produce trained and certified activists who can do political work, communicate with media, and forge alliances with other groups. Once trained, activists are able to confidently deal with issues rising in their community."
