On June 26, 2005 the Indo-Asian News Service reported, "A group of Pakistani Hindu, Sikh, Christian and Muslim delegates is visiting places of worship in Delhi and neighbouring Indian states to give a boost to the bilateral peace process... 'The peace process will improve as more and more delegations from both sides make such visits. Such people-to-people contacts are an important confidence-building measure,' [Rana Ejaz Ahmed] Khan, the advisor on law and human rights to the chief minister of Pakistan's Punjab province, told IANS. The 16-member delegation consists of four members each from the Hindu, Sikh, Christian and Muslim communities and has visited shrines of various religions at Amritsar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh since its arrival in India June 20."
